Art is a spiritual process and I love juxtaposing materials navigating heart and soul through interpretive processes that give visual "birth" through creative and intuitive means. I control what occurs through my hand, navigating time and mediums, often through numerous transformations. My work integrates traditional and digital art mediums that combine naturally occurring shapes, textures, colors, forms and patterns with strong nautical, floral, figurative and abstract influences. Images originate from sketches, paintings, photographs and collage materials. The influence of years spent on the Cape by the sea and a heightened sensitivity to nature's ever-changing palette is evident in my imagery.
